About

“Imagine yourself as a living house. God comes in to rebuild that house. At first, perhaps, you can understand what He is doing. He is getting the drains right and stopping the leaks in the roof and so on; you knew that those jobs needed doing and so you are not surprised. But presently He starts knocking the house about in a way that hurts abominably and does not seem to make any sense. What on earth is He up to? The explanation is that He is building quite a different house from the one you thought of – throwing out a new wing here, putting on an extra floor there, running up towers, making courtyards. You thought you were being made into a decent little cottage: but He is building a palace. He intends to come and live in it Himself.”

― C.S. Lewis,

I think for the most part He might be past the ‘getting the drains right and stopping the leaks’ phase of the renovation. Maybe not. However, I just don’t think He is going to be satisfied with only one new wing.

There is still an abundance of work that is going on inside of me.

I guess I am not always able to appreciate why certain things have had to happen, are still happening and have yet to.

I do know that it is all part of the His plan for me.

And you know what?

I am ok with that.

But I have to admit.

From time to time I might get mad and feel the need to say my piece.  But for the most part, I am past that.  With some persistence, patience and faith, I have learned.

He understands.

He loves me no matter what.

I never think I have all of the answers.

But I do think I have earned some wisdom.

And as long as I enjoy writing, I will try to share some of these lessons.

If you feel the same, by all means, reach out.

In time, we will all get to know each other better.

Until then, I will keep doing my best each day.

To make good at my temporary assignment.
